Hearts' bid to be crowned champions of Scotland for the first time in more than 60 years could come down to a last-day decider against title-holders Celtic after the post-split fixtures in the Scottish Premiership were announced on Tuesday.
Rangers, the arch Glasgow rivals of Celtic and also in the three-way race for the title, will be at Falkirk in their final match, also on May 16th.
With six fixtures remaining, leaders Hearts are just one point ahead of Rangers, with Celtic, who have won 13 of the last 14 titles, a further two points behind.
In the final pre-split fixtures next weekend, Edinburgh club Hearts, who last won a Scottish top-flight title back in the 1959/60 season, are at home to St Mirren, and Rangers travel to Falkirk.
The split, designed to provide more meaningful competition towards the end of a league season featuring just 12 teams, takes place after 33 matches.
The top six clubs play each other once more, and the bottom six do likewise.
The final 'Old Firm' derby of the campaign sees Rangers travel to Celtic Park in the third round of fixtures on Sunday, May 10th.
That match takes place after Hearts face visitors Rangers at Tynecastle the previous Monday.
And the final Edinburgh derby of the season sees Hearts travelling across the Scottish capital to play Hibernian at Easter Road on April 26th - the first fixture after the split.
